| What can be done to improve skating in Australia? |
This subject has been raised in a number of other areas in the forum.
Right now ISA (from what I understand) is approaching ice rinks to run the new Aussie skate program through their skate schools. I believe each pupil who signs up will pay a fee to cover various costs. This may be used to cover costs of promoting Ice Skating in an effort to grow the sport and hopefully raise the profile and government and corporate interest. This will also lead to a national data base of all people who have p ... |

| Hi everyone, this is Ryan Jahnke from over in the States. I've been designing a site over the last year that I hope will be a great help to skating families and clubs. It is http://www.myskatingmall.com. The site will be a marketplace for new and gently used figure skating items and 5% of every purchase will be given to either the skating club or team of the people involved in the transaction. The site will act as a perpetual fundraiser for skating clubs and teams. Also, e ... |

| New Aussie Skate Program |
Another 3 months have passed, and still nothing.
In a few weeks Aussie Skate finishes here for the the school holidays, and won't restart until school goes back in mid-February. The very time we can hope for an influx of newbies inspired by the Olympics.
Does anyone know what is happening with this new program? Has it been rolled out anywhere since Nationals? |
