| Direction of Adult Skating in Australia |
This weekend in Melbourne we are holding the first Adult competition which will be competed using the new ISA rules and also being judged under IJS.
There will be a few of the Sydney skaters coming to Melbourne which we are looking forward to.
Hopefully this will be a great chance to discuss and formulate plans for the future direction of adult skating in Australia.
One of these plans could be an Adult Nationals, but it would be interesting to hear of other ideas that could be discussed ... |
| Watching International Events |
We probably need a thread that people can put links to internet TV stations that you can watch events on. Unfortunately many times we are locked out of coverage for the simple fact that many TV stations will only provide coverage to their own countries.
But one TV station that you can watch is TRT3 - Turkish TV

| Turkish JGP |
I discovered last night that I could watch this event live via Turkish TV - TRT3. So I did see some of the last group of boy. Young Chinese boy skated very well to win.
However we did have Matthew Precious and Jamie Nobbs in this event as well. Unfortunately I didn't see them.
But Matthew finished 16th and Jamie finished 25th. Well done to them. |

| Domnina/Shabalin will be doing Aboriginal OD |
I thought this was relevant to an Aussie forum that the Russian Dance team of Dominina/Shabalin are planning on doing an Aboriginal OD.
Maybe Dani and Greg provided some inspiration for this? |
| Oceania Camp |
I have a child who is going to attend this camp and I must say I was impressed that finally ISA is putting some time and money into our developing skaters. This is a fantastic initiative!
I have been told this is a first in a number of camps for development. GREAT.
I look forward to seeing how this all develops.
Pat on the back for ISA. |
| National Skating Calendar |
Just throwing an idea out there for people to think about.
What would people think about having another National event like Hollins?
With the moving of Nationals to December, there could be a possibility of a similar event somewhere between Hollins and Nationals. Of course the states will be having their state championships so that would be taken into account.
But it would certainly be a useful event on the National calendar for skaters to skate under IJS and get good competitive exper ... |

| 2009 Championships |
I realise it's a bit late in coming but I have only found this site recently. I want to say thank you to everyone for their support/good wishes and positive attitudes towards Robert.
He won the championship in 3 year old boots and used an old costume in the long.
Just for the record up to now he has had no funding or sponsorship for overseas training.
Like other skaters it's all been up to us to give him the best we could.
I had to have a giggle when I read names like "Impoverished ... |
